Røldals Church is an important pilgrimage town in Norway, because of the impressive medieval wooden Church still intact and because of the presence in it of a much venerated crucifix. The main intention in this project, the Center for the Pilgrims, is to integrate the program into the landscape, to become a basement which will leave all the importance to the Church.
